As of the end of July 2025, CHN Energy has commissioned eight virtual power plant (VPP) projects, with a total aggregated capacity of 2,296.6 MW and a flexible adjustment capacity of 408.5 MW.
Hubei Branch's VPP, the Group's first commercially operational project, aggregates 709.9 MW of resources with an 85.5 MW adjustment capacity, successfully executing 12 precision dispatch operations in July. Zhejiang Branch efficiently integrated 228 users and 273 MW of distributed resources, providing 30 MW of adjustment capacity, and received an industry award for digital technology innovation. Shandong Branch pioneered the "Internet terminal + 5G network slicing" technology, aggregating 519.1 MW of resources with 41.2 MW of adjustment capacity. Jiangxi Branch aggregated 387 MW with 52 MW of adjustment capacity. Ningxia Branch explored an "electricity + computing power" joint operation model, aggregating 38.7 MW with 31.5 MW of adjustment capacity. Jiangsu Branch established a 1+N operation model, aggregating 300 MW; it participated in 33 controllable load ancillary service events within the year, offering 150 MW of adjustment capacity. Guangdong Branch built Shenzhen's distributed energy dispatch platform, initially aggregating 9.9 MW of load resources with 1.41 MW adjustment capacity. Chongqing Branch successfully aggregated its first batch of load resources totaling 59 MW with 17 MW of adjustment capacity, establishing preliminary intelligent resource management capabilities via its self-developed cloud-edge-end (CEE) integrated platform.
CHN Energy will continue advancing the deep integration of VPPs with traditional energy sources. Plans include developing benchmark projects exceeding 1,000 MW of adjustment capacity, building an integrated generation-grid-load-storage ecosystem, enhancing energy utilization efficiency, and supporting the achievement of China's dual carbon goals.
