On September 22, CHN Energy Ningxia Branch Daba Company successfully completed the hoisting of the first turbine for the Fengkouzi 19.5 MW distributed wind power project. This marks the company’s first distributed wind power project and represents a breakthrough in its wind power development.
The project is located in Daba Town, Qingtongxia City, Wuzhong, Ningxia, with a planned total installed capacity of 19.5 MW. It includes three 6.5 MW wind turbines and a 35 kV switch station. The turbine installed in this phase is a 6.5 MW model manufactured by Dongfang Electric, featuring a hub height of 125 meters and blade length of 108 meters.
To ensure safe and smooth hoisting, the project team developed a dedicated lifting plan, coordinated resources among participating contractors, and optimized machinery scheduling and workforce allocation. Managers supervised the entire process on-site, strictly enforcing standards and procedures from equipment delivery and hoist testing to final acceptance, ensuring each step was carried out safely and in order.
Once the project is fully operational, it is expected to generate 44.33 million kWh annually, with 2,273.2 equivalent full-load hours. The project will contribute to improving the regional air environment and optimizing the local energy structure.
