As of September 15, CHN Energy Yuanhai Shipping Co., Ltd. had transported a total of 200.262 million tons of cargo this year, reaching the 200-million-ton milestone three days earlier than last year. During the peak summer demand period, the company transported 92.196 million tons, an 11 percent year-on-year increase.

By expanding its self-operated fleet, the company has strengthened its supply guarantee capacity. Its self-owned fleet now totals 111 vessels with a combined deadweight of 6.613 million tons, representing a 50.6 percent year-on-year increase in controlled capacity. In daily operations, the company applies a “one plant, one policy” approach to allocate shipping capacity with precision, strengthens coordination with regions of power overproduction, and continuously improves service quality.

Leveraging its fleet capacity and route network, the company has actively expanded its market cargo operations, completing 27.08 million tons in market shipments, a year-on-year increase of 235 percent. Non-coal cargo has also seen rapid growth, with annual shipments exceeding 10 million tons, up 260 percent. Among these, vessels from the CHN Energy series transported 1.23 million tons of grain in 20 voyages via the new North-to-South Grain Transport channel.

The company has further boosted transport capacity by optimizing operational efficiency. Scheduled liner services have reduced transit times by 44 hours compared with domestic routes using self-owned vessels. In collaboration with port operators, the company has advanced bi-directional pendulum transport services to enhance vessel utilization. Measures such as reducing the time required for ballast water discharge have also been implemented to further unlock transport potential, contributing to higher-quality and more efficient integrated energy shipping.
